The world’s newest little bundle of joy has arrived! The Royal baby has finally arrived! After hours of labor, Kate Middleton gave birth to an 8 pound and 6 ounce little boy! A new little prince! Sources say that Prince William was present for the birth of his son. The baby’s name has not been released, and sources say that it may not be for another week or so.
Many across the world were waiting for the royal baby’s birth to arrive. The announcement of the birth was to be heralded to the world in a traditional way, complete with the announcement on an official palace letterhead, as well as being placed on an easel in front of the gates of Buckingham Palace. However, when the royal baby made his grand entrance into the world, it was dark, so the palace decided to send out an electronic press release instead.
The world wasn’t the first to hear about the birth though. Prince William made sure to phone his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, from encrypted phone to the palace. The little prince’s birth comes just in time, too! The Queen is set to leave for her annual vacation to her Balmoral estate in Scotland at the end of the week.
The newest royal addition is third in line to the throne, behind grandfather Prince Charles, and dad Prince William.
Now we wait to find out the little one’s new moniker!
