A mother who was called to come in and meet with her son’s principal on Wednesday after her son got in trouble, walked into the school office and slapped another child after she mistook the boy for her son.
Tyshekka Collier, 36, reportedly realized her mistake after she smacked the unidentified middle school child and then apologized. Collier then walked over to her son, who was sitting next to the boy, and smacked him. Collier allegedly hit her son so hard, he was knocked to the ground.
The unrelated boy Collier slapped was reportedly waiting to be picked up because he wasn’t feeling well, according to CBS News.
Ty Dawkins, the principal at Fairforest Middle School in Spartanburg, South Carolina, called police and Collier was charged with assault.
Collier’s three children have been taken into the custody of CPS.
