We hope if faced with a similar situation our nurturing instincts would kick in and we would think to save our child before ourselves. And why didn’t they call the cops after the first robbery?
An 8-year-old boy slept in his room Tuesday morning while gunmen forced their way into his house, shot and killed a family dog and sent his parents fleeing to the street.
Kevin Dummett, 35, and Kellin Hahn, 26, were the targets of two attempted robberies at their home Tuesday — both carried out by the same two men, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.
The men approached Dummett in his driveway and tried to rob him at 12:15 a.m. He didn’t call 911. When the gunmen returned at 6 a.m. and broke in through the back door, the family pit bull charged them and was immediately shot.
Hahn and Dummett fled the home, leaving their son asleep in his bedroom, the sheriff’s office said.

Wow, not to get too judgmental but in this instance we feel safe to say that the parents of this young Moreno Valley, California, teenager DEFINITELY FAILED in their job. We can’t even imagine the home life that would produce such a screwed up kid.
Officers were called to the scene at 8:12 a.m. March 1 and found both victims unconscious and suffering “massive head wounds,” according to Sgt. Ken Paulson.
The boy is accused of entering the couple’s apartment along with the other suspect and demanding money before both beat the victims with blunt objects. Police said the boy then raped the unconscious female victim.
Both victims remain hospitalized and the boy was arrested Sunday and booked into Riverside Juvenile Hall, Paulson said. The boy’s name is being withheld by authorities because of his age.

A 13 year old girl chased a Burger King employee around the BK restaurant, demanding they give her a cheeseburger.
Apparently, she was really hungry.

Many mysterious surround the fatal shooting of two young Indiana mothers and their children, from anonymous tips of burglaries yet to happen to motive behind the murders.
IMPD officers got a call that shots were being fired in the 3200 block of Hovey Street. When officers arrived, they found four people inside the home, all suffering from gunshot wounds.
The two adults, 24-year-old Gina Hunt and 24-year-old Andrea Yarrell, and Charlii Yarrell, the infant daughter of Andrea, were all pronounced dead on the scene. A four-month-old girl was taken to Methodist Hospital in critical condition with several gun shot wounds. She died a few hours later. At this time, the child has not been positively identified.
Police do not know much about the suspects, except that two black men were seen running north on Hovey Street away from the scene.

Police think these robbers may have known their victims.
I hope this toddler sees a therapist. This will probably leave a life-long scar if he knows that somebody was threatening to kill him.

Great. One of my biggest phobias is being robbed while at home. These type of crimes are, unfortunately, rising…
An assault rifle-toting gunman shot a young child during a home invasion robbery in Kansas City early this morning.
According to police, the robber shot the child when he apparently fired blindly into a darkened bedroom. The child, who was hit in the foot, is expected to recover.
The robbery happened about 12:30 a.m. at a home in the 8000 block of East 75th Street.
Investigators said the child’s father, a Kansas City School District principal, was awake and watching television when the robber entered. The victim’s wife and children were asleep in various bedrooms.

ATLANTA — A young boy’s mother drove a getaway car for her son and other local teens involved in a burglary spree, police said Friday.
Police continue to look for Lakechia Woodard, 36, for driving her 12-year-old son and three friends to a house off Flat Shoals Road where they stole 14 rifles.
Suffice it to say, these kids don’t have a chance.
But the “understatement of the day” award goes to the victims son:
“You pick your son up after he’s done robbing a place? That’s bad. That’s bad on you,” said a burglary victim’s son, Willis Grant.
