OK, we’re guessing more than one of us is guilty of at least one instance where we’ve slipped the kid some Benadryl to help him sleep (our infraction was on a long flight to Seattle) but a) it’s not on a regular basis and b) it’s not kids that aren’t ours! A New Jersey nanny has admitted she used the antihistamine on the little tots under her watch:
Jennifer Wolff pleaded guilty to third-degree child endangerment Wednesday and faces up to 180 days in jail under a deal with prosecutors. The 24-year-old had faced up to 10 years in prison under the original charges.
Wolff told the court she was tired and worried that she might not be able to handle the 3- and 1-year-old boys.
Wolff said she spiked their juice with an anti-allergy sedative.
Prosecutors said the children’s mother because suspicious when she tasted the juice and one of her son’s referred to his “medicine bottle.”

Nanny who came highly recommended is seen tossing 7 month old twins around the house by their limbs…
See video here
The police decided not to press charges, apparently they didn’t see anything abusive about the video. Minor Topics has no explanation as to why the police are trying to protect a woman who abused two infants, but we don’t like it. No, sir. Not one bit.
CARY, N.C. - A Cary family has fired their nanny after a hidden camera caught her treating their two infant twins roughly.
Mike and Lindsay Addison say they bought the camera online because they had a funny feeling about the way the babysitter was treating their seven-month old twins, Gavin and Bryce.
The camera arrived a couple weeks ago, and they had it up and working for just three hours before Lindsay Addison had had enough.

When we needed a nanny a while back, we did what a lot of parents do in this modern age and went about looking for one online. And it almost became overwhelming with the huge number of eager women looking for a nanny job — some would email us back several times following up, desperate to begin work immediately. Well one sick individual apparently figured this out as well, luring Katherine Ann Olson with the promise of a position, but there was not a needy parent waiting for her but rather a ruthless killer:
Police say an online ad seeking a nanny may have cost a Cottage Grove, Minnesota, woman her life.
Katherine Ann Olson, 24, was found dead in the trunk of her car at a Burnsville, Minnesota, park late Friday night. She was last seen by friends Thursday morning, when she went to meet someone in Savage about the job, which investigators said she had found on Craigslist.org, a popular Internet bulletin board.
A 19-year-old man from Savage who police believe placed the ad is being held in the Scott County jail pending charges. He worked at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, where police arrested him Friday night.
“We’re confident we have the suspect in custody,” Police Capt. David Muelken said.
