Since abortion is legal in Illinois, why a woman would choose a DIY abortion. Very odd.
Police are conducting a death investigation after a woman apparently gave herself an abortion inside a vehicle on the Far South Side early Sunday.
Baby boy Johnson was found unresponsive in the back seat of a vehicle at 708 W. 103rd St., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. The baby was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:20 a.m.

Police have ended their search for the 5-month-old fetus that was supposedly buried by a Texas teen.
The teenager told police her mother demanded an abortion in June after discovering the pregnancy, Galena Park Police Chief Robert Pruett said. The girl allegedly told police her mother gave her drugs to end the pregnancy, then buried the fetus after it was born.
No criminal charges have been filed.
Pruett said cadaver dogs detected a scent while searching for the corpse in the backyard of the girl’s suburban Houston home. Dirt from that area will be examined by the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office, Pruett said.

A mother who decided to abort her fetus at 8 weeks gestation was surprised to find out she was still pregnant 11 weeks later. The baby, born fairly healthy was thought to have a life threatening illness so thusly, she decided to abort. Ultimately, mom is happy it all turned out the way it did as she now has a baby boy who is thought to be able to lead a fairly normal life.
Ms Percival’s first son, Thane, died of multicystic dysplastic kidney – which causes cysts to grow on the kidneys of an unborn baby - and her second, Lewis, was born with serious kidney damage and survives with only one, the Daily Mail reported.
“I was on the Pill when I became pregnant. Deciding to terminate at eight weeks was just utterly horrible but I couldn’t cope with the anguish of losing another baby,” Miss Percival, 25, said.
A short time after the abortion, Ms Percival felt a fluttering in her stomach.

Apparently distraught after aborting twins, a British artist hanged herself.
Emma Beck was found hanging at her home in Helston, Cornwall, on Feb 1 2007. She was declared dead early the following day - her 31st birthday.
Her suicide note read: “I told everyone I didn’t want to do it, even at the hospital. I was frightened, now it is too late. I died when my babies died. I want to be with my babies: they need me, no-one else does.”
The inquest at Truro City Hall heard that Miss Beck had split up with her boyfriend, referred to as “Ben” after he “reacted badly” to the pregnancy.
She saw her GP before the termination, but missed an appointment at a hospital in Penzance. She then cancelled, but later turned up to an appointment at a clinic at Royal Cornwall Hospital in Treliske. The counsellor was on holiday so a doctor referred Miss Beck to a pregnancy counselling telephone service eight days before carrying out the abortion when she was eight weeks pregnant, the inquest heard.
Beck’s mother is angered that her daughter did not receive the services of a counsellor to determine if she was mentally fit and fully aware of her actions. The doctor who performed the abortion stands by his contention that Beck fully consented to the procedure.

Well, we’ll never know if her would be child could have been resposible for inventing a way to diminish polluting gases or reduce global warming.
The real question, isn’t she and her boyfriend still creating pollution??? Why is her polluting body any more important than anybody’s elses? Even if she’s careful, she is still polluting the planet in some way or another.
Whatever…
Had Toni Vernelli gone ahead with her pregnancy ten years ago, she would know at first hand what it is like to cradle her own baby, to have a pair of innocent eyes gazing up at her with unconditional love, to feel a little hand slipping into hers - and a voice calling her Mummy.
But the very thought makes her shudder with horror.
Because when Toni terminated her pregnancy, she did so in the firm belief she was helping to save the planet.

In a tennis match type of wins and losses for the anti-abortion clan, all the attempts at blocking the clinic’s opening finally subsided with an ultimate win for a Planned Parenthood clinic in Aurora, Illinois…
A Planned Parenthood clinic in Aurora that will offer abortion services is scheduled to open today after city officials late Monday issued an occupancy permit for the controversial medical center.
While the permit clears the way for the immediate opening of the 22,000-square-foot clinic, opponents vowed to continue their efforts to keep the center shuttered.
Abortion foes already have organized mass protests and prayer vigils near the clinic, which Planned Parenthood initially had expected to open last month.

In one of the most politically motivated Judicial decisions ever, a Judge sides with the city counsel in denying Planned Parenthood the neccessary permits to open their largest clinic ever.
The $7.5 million building stands finished but empty. It was supposed to open Tuesday, but Aurora officials would not provide the necessary occupancy permits while a city-commissioned review is under way to determine if laws were broken after Planned Parenthood applied for building permits under the name of a subsidiary.
Christopher Wilson, representing Planned Parenthood, told Norgle that if the medical facility housed a foot clinic, Aurora officials would not be holding such an in-depth review.

If nothing else — this is an interesting debate to watch.
How much influence do anti-abortionists have? Will they succeed in making sure the largest Planned Parenthood, located in a largely hispanic area in Illinois, never opens? They are doing more than just praying about it. Apparently, Planned Parenthood uses a parent company to apply for permits, which is common with most businesses. The problem presented by the anti-abortionists is that the counsel in Aurora, Illinois was scammed because the parent company, Gemini, didn’t disclose that they were really a Planned Parenthood clinic performing abortions. The company applied for a permit citing that they were a medical clinic.
Should this have to be disclosed? Should it be required?
In Illinois today, a federal judge is expected to hear an intriguing argument in the abortion debate. At issue: Is Aurora, Ill., a city of nearly 175,000 about an hour’s drive west of Chicago, trying to stop Tuesday’s scheduled opening of the nation’s largest Planned Parenthood clinic because of political pressure from anti-abortion activists? Or was the clinic’s true nature — that is, its Planned Parenthood genesis — not readily apparent to city officials when they originally approved permits for the building? Or is it a bit of both? The case is already one of the most heated in the nation’s grassroots abortion wars, and protests in Aurora this past weekend drew hundreds of anti-abortion demonstrators.
