You have to wonder about a 4 year old who allegedly stole girls clothing, drank a beer and is being accused of breaking into various neighbors houses — what kind of future does this kid have? Apparently his mother says this behavior is a result of his father being in prison. Like father, like son I guess.
Hayden is accused of committing his holiday thievery after consuming a beer. Yeah, that’ll do it every time. Happened to one of our interns last week.
He was found at 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday wandering the streets in a little brown dress that he is believed to have stolen from under a neighbor’s tree.
The kid entered after he rang the door bell, took the dress, then moved on to another house.

Finding a dead man hanging by a homemade noose at a playground is not something you see everyday. This tragic finding happened when two Ohio moms set out to bring their toddlers to a park and noticed a man hanging from the jungle gym equipment. Luckily the children were young enough that they’ll likely not be scared for life.
STOW, Ohio (AP) — Police say two women bringing young children to an Ohio park found the body of man hanging from playground equipment.

Our older son goads his little brother to play with him all the time, but usually he’ll try to bribe him with candy or quarters, not by threatening to shoot him in the head.
Police in West Virginia have said that an 11-year-old girl is in a juvenile detention centre after she pointed a gun at her 7-year-old sister in an attempt to force her to play with her. The incident happened at the girls’ grandparents’ home.
The girls’ grandmother tried to get the gun, when the older sister pointed the .38 caliber pistol at her, too. The gun was not loaded at the time of the incident, but the 11-year-old didn’t know that.

The name “Barack” is the new black.
Word to the wise however, what if Barack pulls a Jimmy Carter? You’ll go from cool to fool, from hero to zero in the matter of a election cycle. So think about these things, will ya?
The Social Security Administration, which tracks the nation’s most popular baby names, said yesterday that Barack did set what is believed to be a record by skyrocketing more than 10,000 spots - from number 12,535 in 2007 to 2,409 in 2008. It predicts that Barack will jump into the top 1,000 for 2009.

A pregnant woman hit by a car while running away from a bear has said she is going to “honor” the animal who was killed by authorities by giving her child the middle name “Bear”.
Ashley Swendsen, 26, said she thought the bear followed her more out of curiosity than malice because it kept a distance of about 10 feet Thursday morning on a hiking trail in northwestern Colorado Springs.
As she ran, she thought, “If it was going to hurt me, it already would have.”
Swendsen managed to scramble up an embankment and was crossing the street when she was hit by a slow-moving car. Although she was not seriously injured, she was taken to a hospital as a precaution because she was pregnant.
Police said they’re looking for the driver of the car that hit Swendsen. The driver stopped and spoke to her but left before police arrived.

A 7-year-old boy in Utah earned himself a nice chunk after change after he won a contest searching for the stinkiest pair of shoes in America. Congrats, son, your bad hygiene habits have finally paid off!
Joshua Boothe traveled to Vermont this week as one of seven finalists in the annual Odor-eaters “Rotten Sneaker Contest.” The judges smelled all of the shoes and decided Joshua’s were the stinkiest.
He’s now $2,500 richer, cash his parents say is going into the bank. Better yet, he and his dad are on their way to New York City to see the sights and attend a Broadway show before they return home on Friday.

No, there aren’t cougars wandering wild on South Beach.
A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokesman says the girl sustained some significant wounds Saturday and she was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Miami-Dade police say 21-year-old Anthony Zitnick, a friend of the girl, illegally entered the wildlife collector’s home with the girl and was later arrested. Inside, the 150-pound male cougar, named Chaos, pounced on the girl and clenched his jaws around her head.
Authorities say neighbor Richard Miralles heard screams and wrestled the animal away. Wildlife officials say the owner of the home has legal permits to keep two cougars and several snakes, tortoises and alligators.

A 1-year-old girl in Woodburn, Oregon started a frantic search after going missing at her grandparents’ house, and was found a couple hours later in an unusual spot.
The girl’s uncle, Tim Higgins, said the family feared the worst.
“We were like, ‘She couldn’t have went anywhere. She can’t walk,’ ” he said. “‘She’s gotta be here unless somebody came in and took her.’ ”
About 15 officers arrived and were involved in an intense search of the house and the surrounding area but the baby could not be found, police said.
At 7:30 a.m., an officer heard the child coughing in the bedroom but still couldn’t locate the girl, police said.
They realized that the child had managed to climb underneath the flooring although they couldn’t figure out how the child had gotten below the floor, police said.
A hole was found but it didn’t appear to be big enough for a child to fit through, officers said.

The stick has made it into the Toy Hall of Fame, narrowly beating out the tin can and the family cat.
The lowly stick, a universal plaything powered by a child’s imagination, has landed in the National Toy Hall of Fame along with Baby Doll and the skateboard.
The three items were chosen Thursday to join the Strong National Museum’s all-star lineup. Previous inductees range from the bicycle and Mr. Potato Head to Crayola crayons and the cardboard box.

We have a bad habit of hitting the snooze button 20 times before getting up, perhaps we should get a snake instead.
A teenage girl in Australia awoke when a snake slithered into her bed, wrapped itself around her neck and bit her on the arm.
Ashlee Findlay, 16, who is afraid of snakes, spiders and centipedes, spent two hours at a hospital after the attack, the Northern Territory News reported Tuesday.
The receptionist said she would be haunted by the incident. “Everyone was a bit freaked,” she said.
Oh, really? You think?

A restaurateur in Switzerland (where else?) has announced that all of his menu items will be prepared with human breast milk. Han Locher is paying a pretty penny for the milk maids donations.
I can see it now, woman lined up in stalls with breast pumps hooked up to their nipples while hay lay at their feet.
Blech.
Mr Locher attracted the attention of the leading media of the German-speaking world this week after he posted ads looking for women donors, who will receive just over three pounds for 14 ounces of their milk.
He said: “I first experimented with breast milk when my daughter was born.
“One can cook really delicious things with it. However, it always needs to be mixed with a bit of whipped cream, in order to keep the consistency.”
