Isabella Sara Tennant, 5, found dead in a NY alley. Police suspect foul play. Family photo.
The body of missing 5-year-old Isabella Tennant has been found in Niagara Falls, New York this morning. Police say Isabella went missing sometime in the overnight hours but was reported missing early this morning, Monday, around 6 am. The Niagara County Sheriffs Office is now interviewing a neighbor who was the last person to see young Isabella alive. The male neighbor is said to be a ‘person of interest’.
Isabella was staying at her grandmother’s house while her mother worked the night shift at a nearby bar called Players sports Bar. She was last seen by a 16-year-old neighbor around midnight. The teenager was reportedly visiting the grandmother late last night. When Isabella’s mother returned home early this morning, around 6 am, she said the youngster was nowhere to be found. The grandmother and mother both reported that the apartment door was unlocked.
Isabella’s body was found in an alley several blocks from the grandmother’s home. Police have not yet said whether trauma was found on the body or how Isabella died. An autopsy is underway to determine the cause of death.
