Two Russian children, ages 4 and 7, are dead after their mother threw them out of her 15th floor apartment window. Galina Ryabkova, 30, reportedly told neighbors that she threw the children out the window because she was “fed up with them”.
RT News reported that neighbors said they heard the bodies of the youngsters hit the ground. One resident, Tatiana Gumanyova, said that she heard a “loud smack” and then she “heard one more smack”.
Another neighbor said that he ran outside and saw the lifeless bodies of the children on the pavement in front of the apartment entrance and then saw the boys mother coming outside to confirm the boys had died. When asked if they were hers, she allegedly responded, ‘Yes, I threw them away.”
Russian police are investigating the motive behind the murders and suspect Ryabkova killed the children in revenge. According to Northeast Today, Ryabkova had just found out that her husband was having an affair and believed he was going to leave.
Neighbors say that Ryabkova used to complain of not having any money and not having food for the children, but that her husband worked constantly and was rarely home.
Ryabkova reportedly told police that the children were angels up in heaven now.
This is the second time a mother in Russia has thrown her child(ren) out the window to their death this year. In March, a Russian model reportedly threw her infant son out the window because she wanted to sleep and the baby was crying.
