“Doctors are a lot of times bound by what they’ve seen and bound by science. And you know science says a lot of this isn’t possible,” said her mother, Nicki.

Kenna has spent the past 4 months in the NICU at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. She now weighs 3 pounds, 8 ounces, and doctors are talking about sending her home soon. ”And I was like, ‘You said the H word! You said the H word!” said Nicki.

While there may be complications with her health later in life as a result of her premature birth, Kenna currently appears happy and healthy.
