Toddler with broken leg forced to walk on broken leg, dies after items fall on her
Three Pennsylvania children were left in the care of their mother’s boyfriend several weeks ago while the mother was out of town. Adrian Morgan Allen, 27, was reportedly babysitting the kids, none of whom are Allen’s biological children. One of the children, an 18-months-old baby, suffered a broken leg and later died in the care of Allen. It is unclear how the child was originally injured but according to an affidavit, the child was previously taken to the hospital for the leg injury at which time doctors told Allen to keep the youngster off her leg and not allow her to walk.
According to Phillyburbs.com, the tot died while trying to reach the garbage can to throw away her diaper.
Allen revealed in a police interview that he forced the toddler to throw away her diaper and walk on her broken leg. As the baby tried to reach the garbage can, she repeatedly fell and tried to use items around her to get back up. While putting her weight on a stack of wooden chairs, the chairs fell on her causing severe head injuries. The toddler was taken a Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia where she was later pronounced dead.
Allen allegedly admitted to Bristol County police that he forced the child, identified only as “B.A.” to throw away her diaper on her own. He is expected to be charged with homicide.
