The 12-year-old Texas girl seen in a viral video on Wednesday, inside her father’s truck, screaming as a nearby fertilizer plant exploded, joined her dad on the Today show Thursday morning, revealing she is okay.

The young girl, Khloey, was heard yelling shortly after a blast rocked her father’s truck, on the video, “I can’t hear! I can’t hear! Please get out of here! Please get out of here!”

The girl’s father, Derrick Hurtt, said the blast lifted his truck off the ground and he wound up on top of his daughter.

Hurtt also said the family was unharmed, however, the children’s ears were a little sore this morning. Hurtt said that he and his daughters currently have their hearing fully restored.

Hurtt also told Matt Lauer of the Today show, that while his family is safe today, for a moment after the explosion, “things just kind of went black for a moment.”
