Jessica Simpson, singer, actress and fashion mogul extraordinaire, is rumored to have signed a multimillion dollar deal with Weight Watchers. Simpson, who gave birth to a daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson on May 1 admitted that she weighed upwards of 170 lbs. by the time she went into labor. Maxwell, who weighed in at a whopping 9 lbs., 13 oz. when born, has apparently left some lingering baby weight for Simpson who sources say is motivated to shed those extra pounds. Simpson at one point in her pregnancy had to deny she was having twins because her bulging baby bump had people speculating otherwise.

According to an anonymous source quoted by Us Magazine, Simpson is recovering from a c-section, but is “determined” to show the world she’s excited to trim down her 5′ 3″ frame. She’s also going to be under contractual obligations to lose the weight.

A source told the entertainment magazine, “”She’ll have to meet the weight-loss goals for the deal to go through. She hasn’t chosen a trainer yet. In fact, she hasn’t even thought about working out for a year. But if she wants this, she’ll need to work out a good five times a week.”

Simpson’s WW contract allegedly spells out very specific weight loss goals that she’ll have to obtain in order to be in compliance with her $4 million dollar deal. The source says that Simpson is in the process of interviewing trainers while she continues to recover.
