The father, whose name was not released, contacted the police to explain what happened and that he thought maybe the disc had been tampered with. However, when police investigated the disc, they found nothing wrong with it and no evidence of tampering. The police will not be investigating the incident or pressing charges, however Nance did say that the man had “some explaining to do (to the children at the party, and their parents)”.
