Disney star Brenda Song is soon going to be a mother.
Song, 23, is reportedly pregnant and expecting her first child with boyfriend Trace Cyrus.
Celebuzz reports that Song and Cyrus — brother of singer/actress Miley Cyrus — have been dating for several months.
The surprise pregnancy is yet another departure from Song’s image as the ditzy London Tipton on Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zach and Cody and the spin-off Suite Life on Deck. Song previously showed up in decidedly more grown-up role in last year’s Oscar winning film, The Social Network, and most recently posed for some sensual photos in Nylon magazine.
Us Weekly says a source told them, “Trace has known Brenda through Mile[y] for years but they were always friends. It was not expected. They were both startled to find out she’s pregnant… They are figuring out how to handle it.”
Cyrus is a heavily tattooed rocker that was the lead guitarist for the band Metro Station, which he formed with another Disney sib, Mason Musso, brother of Hannah Montana star Mitchel Musso. The band gained moderate success with the 2008 single “Shake It”. Cyrus last year moved on to the band Ashland High and starting his own clothing line.
Song isn’t the only former Disney star turned mom — Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff announced last we that she was also pregnant with her husband of one year, Mike Comrie.
