Milly Pyne, aged 12, had hoped to raise $1,622, or £1000, for Cancer Research. Donations started to pour in when Alice’s bucket list went viral, and the teen has managed to raise 30 times her original aim.

Milly ran 5km for Cancer Research, in Barrow. Before the race, she said; “We all think we can’t get cancer but we can and we do. If more money was put into research, maybe my sister wouldn’t be as ill as she is. I’m very grateful for all the sponsership and it’s lovely to see donations from people who don’t know me but have followed Alice’s story.”

The Metro reported that Alice was not at her sister’s race, as she was preparing to meet Take That – one of the things she listed on her Bucket List, whcih has been made happen with the help of thousands of visitors.

Alice was very excited prior to meeting the band, writing on her blog; “I am so excited, I really can’t wait, I just hope I don’t get ill or something daft. I’ve lived in PJs for about a year, so Mum is going to town to buy some things to bring back for me to try.”

Alice’s main wish was for more people to join the bone marrow register. Many of her other wishes are coming true, after she captured the hearts of businesses and individuals alike.
