The dog was said to be aggressive towards people in general and was later shot by a police deputy.

KILGORE, Texas (AP) — A 10-year-old boy died Monday after authorities say he was mauled by two pit bulls in the small community of Leverett’s Chapel.

The Rusk County Sheriff’s Office said witnesses reported seeing the dogs drag the boy, who had been playing at a friend’s house, down the side of the road. Tyler television station KLTV reported that a motorist who saw the attack pulled the animals off the boy.

The parents of an infant mauled to death by their family pit bull is warning others about what they say is a dangerous breed.

A 3-month-old was attacked by the family pit bull, and required emergency surgery.

An adult who was in the home when the attack occurred this afternoon called 911 for help.

The dog that caused the injuries was secured by a City of Tonawanda Police dog control officer and officials from the SPCA. They also took another pit bull from the home, but officials said there no indications the second dog was involved in the attack. The animals are being kept at the SPCA until further notice.

A 5-year-old girl from Simi Valley, California has died from injuries sustained after a pit bull attacked her.

Katya Todesco died Friday at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, three days after the dog bit her on her face and neck, said Los Angeles County coroner’s investigator Ed Winter.

Katya’s mother Katia Todesco said she and her daughter were visiting a friend who was taking care of the pit bull Tuesday.

The little girl and the friend’s 13-year-old daughter were playing in the back yard when the 5-year-old bumped into the dog, then was mauled. Her mother heard screams and came outside to find the dog latched on to her daughter.

“It was a horrible attack,” Todesco said Monday. “With my own hands I was pulling the dog’s jaw.”

Here we go again. If, as pit bull advocates say, it’s the dog owners not the breed, can we at least start locking up the assholes that have these vicious dogs around children?

The 5-year-old boy was attacked and killed by the family’s two pit bulls around nine last night. It happened near the intersection of FM 88 and Mile 13 North. The little boy died at the scene.

A next-door neighbor saw the attack and did what he could. But he says it was too late. We asked him if the dog was still wild. Leo Gutierrez says, “He was pretty wild. I tried to get him out of the way and put him in the back. I didn’t have anything to control the dog.”

Hidalgo County sheriff’s deputies arrived and shot and killed the dog. The second pit bull managed to get away.

Why is it, you never hear of a gang of pugs killing children? Well, they don’t have the capability to. Pit Bulls are a disgrace to our society and harmful to children. Children need to come first. They’re far more important than dogs who are bred to look for a thrill kill.

ABILENE — A 7-year-old boy died after he was apparently attacked by pit bulls while playing outside near his rural home, authorities said.

A driver saw Tanner Joshua Monk of Breckenridge lying next to a road near Hubbard Lake on Sunday with two pit bulls nearby and stopped to check on the child, Stephens County Sheriff Jim Reeves said. When she left her car, the dogs became aggressive and she called 911, he said.

The dogs also became aggressive toward the two deputies who arrived, and they shot and killed them. The deputies found that Tanner was dead, Reeves said in today’s edition of the Abilene Reporter-News.

Hey, don’t look at us, we don’t look for these pit bull stories on purpose. If someone has a “pug mauling child” story they want to send our way, feel free.

A boy has undergone three hours of surgery and required more than 100 stitches to close bite wounds inflicted by a pit bull.

Sean Bajwa, 11, was playing at the playground at Cedar Hills elementary at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday when a pair of pit bull dogs came charging at him and at least one of them pounced.

Jordan Slezak, 20, who lives near the school, was chatting with his mom when suddenly they heard the boy screaming. Looking out of his house to see a dog tugging at Bajwa’s leg, Slezak grabbed a bat, leapt over the fence in his bare feet and beat the pit bull back. Slezak had to crack the dog twice over the head before it let go of the child.

uthorities are looking for a pit bull that attacked a Cheektowaga toddler. There are concerns about whether the dog was updated on its rabies shots.

Two year old Brianna Warden has been through a lot over the past few days, and she’s got the scars to prove it. It all started when she and her mom were returning from a nearby park on Friday afternoon.

Anna said, “I came inside and the dog was sitting on the steps right here.”

It was the upstairs neighbors dog, a two year old Pit Bull named Doo.
