Toddler dies in care of mother’s boyfriend

Posted April 27th, 2008 by minortopics | via www.gainesville.com

Another defenseless toddler dies at the hands of a loser “boyfriend”.

Seriously, when are single moms going to wake up and smell some self respect and dignity while putting their children first? Is sex and a the prospect of a partner, any partner, so important that they’re willing to allow these loser men to beat their babies to death. I hope the loss and suffering was worth the cheap sex and companionship of a psycho loser.

Citrus deputies said that Shands officials said the boy “suffered severe head trauma, a brain stem injury and massive retinal hemorrhaging.”

Spagnolo, who is unemployed and lives in a garage at a friend’s home, told investigators he baby-sits for Sheppard, who lives in Ocala. He said he and Andrew sleep in the same bed.

Galveston fugitive captured in Philadelphia

Posted February 4th, 2008 by minortopics | via www.msnbc.msn.com

Travis Mullis, the man believed to have thrown his child out of his car and on the side of the road, has been captured and is behind bars in Philadelphia. Texas authorities will be seeking his extradition as early as possible. According to Philly police, Mullis confessed to purposely murdering the 3-month-old baby, and the details were even more horrific than previously imagined:

Police said Mullis told a gruesome tale of repeatedly stomping his son on the head before discarding the body on a seawall in Galveston.

Police said Mullis was able to get from Galveston to Philadelphia without anyone recognizing him because he took advantage of several churches.

“He said what he did was, he would stop at a church and tell them a sad story, and he would get money from a church. They would give him money,” a representative said.
