Organic food retailer, Trader Joe’s, has announced a large scale recall of almost 5,000 pound of their store brand Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice on Friday. A North Carolina toddler, 2-years-old, died over the weekend after contracting E. coli from a county fair he attended over a week ago. The toddler boy, Gage Lefevers, succumbed to a bacterial infection over the weekend. Chives sold in nine states are being recalled due to listeria contamination. Goodness Gardens of New Hampton, New York is voluntarily recalling lot number 0201111 for possibly being contaminated with the listeria bacteria.
