Yet another reason why parents might want to consider getting their kids a cell phone — one may have prevented a child from being abducted.
Mohammed Al Hamdani, 39, was taken into custody after an 11-year-old girl snapped a photo of a man with her cell phone who was allegedly trying to abduct her at Bible Park in southeast Denver.
It was unclear from a Denver Police Department press release whether the photo led to the arrest of the man.
The 11-year-old girl told police a man approached her at the park and asked her to get in his car, MyFOXColorado.com reported.
She said no, snapped a picture of the man with her cell phone and ran away from him, according to the TV station.

Police were called to an El Paso County, Colorado hospital Friday night after a 2-month-old infant was pronounced dead and who appeared to have suffered some sort of injury:
Police were called to Memorial Hospital about 6:30 p.m. Friday, where Preston James Cheever was unconscious and not breathing, police said.
The baby’s mother drove part of the way to the hospital from a home in the 5900 block of Bestview Way, but an ambulance met her and took the child to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police on Friday said the infant had injuries, but did not know what caused them.
The county coroner has determined that little Preston died from blunt force trauma to the head.

A woman in Highlands Ranch, Colorado has been arrested for prostitution after she made sexual advances at an undercover officer in her home — with her two young kids next door:
While the undercover officer was with [Sheri Sims, 39,] her two youngest children, ages 13 and 16, were in next room, said investigators in court papers filed in Douglas County.
Her third child, 19, was downstairs, said authorities.
The documents claim that Sims made “contact that went beyond (an) appropriate massage.”
After the Highlands Ranch mother disrobed and began touching the genitals of the naked undercover detective, he gave fellow officers an arrest signal, according to the documents.
The investigation was conducted by the Douglas County Sheriff Department’s Special Investigations Unit, Pattern Crimes Unit and patrol division.
OK, anyone else find it odd that the investigation went so far that the detective was naked and got a little rubdown in the crotchal area?? That’s not how it works on Cops.

Couldn’t this “mother” have walked a few more steps and brought the infant inside? Colorado has a “safe haven” law, where you can surrender your to a hospital or fire station within 72 hours of birth without prosecution.
Denver Police were looking for the person Wednesday who left a newborn girl in a basket outside of a hospital. The baby died.
Police say they found the body at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center located at 19th and Franklin. it happened at about 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say someone pressed an emergency call button outside the facility. A security guard went to check, and found the newborn girl laying in a basket.
The guard took the baby inside, where she was pronounced dead.
Investigators said they did not know if the baby was already dead when she was left outside of the hospital, or if she died afterward.
Investigators are treating this case as a murder. They ask anyone who may know something or who may have seen who left the baby to call them.
Now how come this case is being considered a murder, but the one where the mother dumped her baby in a garbage can isn’t?
