A woman’s boyfriend is being held on charges that he beat her 2-year-old, putting the girl in critical condition.

The girl suffered extensive internal injuries after authorities say a Clinton man beat the girl and her two young siblings on July 31 at the home the children shared with their mother and the alleged attacker.

Marcus Young, 23, was arrested in connection with the incident after a manhunt. Young is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill, according to warrants. A judge has denied bond for him.

A Utah girl accidentally had her toes cut off when she fell of the back of a riding lawnmower and it ran over her feet.

She’s now in the hospital, and paramedics say she’s lucky to be alive.

Clinton’s assistant fire chief, Guido Smith, tells the Ogden Standard-Examiner the little girl was riding with her father on the back of a four wheeler with a lawn mower attachment. She fell off the back, and the mower ran over her.

Paramedics say when they got to her last night, many of her toes had been amputated. She was taken by Life-Flight to the hospital. “In all reality she is extremely fortunate to still be alive,” Smith said.

What’s with all the horny female teachers lately? A former teacher in South Carolina has been sentenced to six years in prison for having sex with her students. A forensic psychiatrist says the woman is not a pedophile, but “rather a childlike victim suffering from personality disorders and a repressed childhood.” Could you imagine trying to float that excuse out there if the teacher was male? There would be cries for public hangings.

Authorities said Allenna Ward, 24, met 14- and 15-year-old boys at the school where she taught as well as at a motel, a park and behind a restaurant.

“I apologize from the depths of my heart,” Ward said in court.

Police began investigating last year after school officials found a note believed to have been written by Ward to one of the boys. Some of the victims were students at Bell Street Middle School in Clinton, where Ward taught. She was fired about a year ago.

Ward pleaded guilty in September to three counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and three lewd acts on a minor.
