How can you call a man a “father”, who has such disregard for his baby, that he would rather murder him than pay child support. What a loser.

Detectives escorted Danny Platt, 22, into jail Saturday evening and booked him with first-degree murder in the death of his son, Ja’Shawn Powell, less than 24 hours earlier.

Platt had confessed to detectives at midday and led them to an overgrown section of a Central City playground where he had dumped the boy’s body in a bag, police said.

Platt told police that he did not want to pay the child support he owed to the boy’s mother and that he had previously threatened violence over the money.

“He had made some comments that he would kill either the wife or the child before he paid child support,” NOPD Superintendent Warren Riley said at a news conference.

You have to wonder how a father that would leave an 18-month-old locked in a hot car would get custody of his four kids to begin with. The outside temperature on the day this allegedly took place was nearly 100 degrees.

Cosimo Capitiano offered no explanation to the judge Monday about why he left his baby in a hot car Sunday, but his estranged wife’s attorney said he shouldn’t have had custody of the children to begin with.

The attorney representing the children’s mother, Aurelius Capitiano, said the father lied that she was keeping them in an unsafe home in south Florida so that he could get custody of them and avoid having to pay child support. Until he did that, the children had been with their mother. The judge’s decision Monday means all four children are going home with their mother.

Kathy Fishbough just happened to park her car at the Chuck E. Cheese parking lot next to Capitanio’s vehicle. She quickly realized the toddler was locked inside the car.

“All windows were up. The car wasn’t on. No keys in ignition. I was like, ‘You’ve gotta be kidding me,’” she said.

A lesbian couple obtained donor sperm from a colleague one them worked for and now, almost 18 years later, the woman has decided to sue for child support.

What a big, friggin’ JERK!

“He was assured that he would have no responsibility on his part and of course 18 years has elapsed where there hasn’t been responsibility,” she said.

“He did not anticipate this would happen now, when the child is almost an adult, that the mother would come forward for child support.”

She said her client had requested a DNA test, “because we have no concrete evidence he is the father.”

Nassau County Family Court judge Ellen Greenberg ruled Nov. 16 against a paternity test, saying it would have a traumatic effect on the child.

Gimme a break! They think a DNA test would be traumatic for the “child”?? He’s 18!!!!

Word to the wise: Do not donate your sperm unless you want to be a father!
