Nanny who came highly recommended is seen tossing 7 month old twins around the house by their limbs…
See video here
The police decided not to press charges, apparently they didn’t see anything abusive about the video. Minor Topics has no explanation as to why the police are trying to protect a woman who abused two infants, but we don’t like it. No, sir. Not one bit.
CARY, N.C. - A Cary family has fired their nanny after a hidden camera caught her treating their two infant twins roughly.
Mike and Lindsay Addison say they bought the camera online because they had a funny feeling about the way the babysitter was treating their seven-month old twins, Gavin and Bryce.
The camera arrived a couple weeks ago, and they had it up and working for just three hours before Lindsay Addison had had enough.

Want to know what pure, unadulterated evil looks like? Read on…
The 5-month-old was dropped off at his parents’ house on Feb. 4, strapped into his car seat. Eight days later, he was found in the same position, said Peoria County State’s Attorney Kevin Lyons during a bond hearing for the parents.
“He died from starvation due to neglect from these two defendants, his parents,” Lyons said.
The 5 month old baby only weighed 2 lbs. more than what he weighed at birth. He was found lying in his own waste, which had not been changed or attended to in 8 days.
I wonder if they had music playing loud enough to drown out his cries, or if the baby was too weak and dehydrated to cry?
The parents, of course, did nothing but play video-games and eat while their baby starved to death and died in his own filth.

A Georgia man who is a convicted child molester took his 4 year old daughter without permission as he does not have custody of the little girl.
Minor Topics is thinking this might not turn out well. The child molester is wanted for bond violation. There is nothing good that happen with him having unfettered access to a small child. I can only imagine the kind of abuse he will likely inflict upon her.
She needs to be found.
ATLANTA (FOX 5) – Authorities were trying locate a missing child and her father Saturday.

Young parents whose first infant died while co-sleeping in their bed decided to test fate once again, and bring their second infant child into bed with them. The second time around didn’t prove to be any safer as the first however, as the tiny infant died of suffocation blamed on co-sleeping.
Citing the parents should have known better, they are now being charged with child abuse homicide.
WEST JORDAN - The case of two parents charged with a homicide for “co-sleeping” with their 3 1/2 -month-old baby boy will proceed to trial, a 3rd District Court judge ruled this week.
Trevor Collet Merrill and Echo J. Nielsen, both 24, are charged with third-degree felony child-abuse homicide and class B misdemeanor reckless endangerment for the Aug. 19, 2006 death of Kayson Bradley Merrill. The couple went to bed with the baby and awoke to find he was dead.
During a Jan. 1 preliminary hearing, Utah medical examiner Edward Leis testified that although he listed the baby’s cause of death as “undetermined,” the child most likely died because he was rolled onto his stomach during the night, and the face-down position obstructed his ability to breathe.
Leis testified he took into account that in 2003, the couple’s first-born child also died while co-sleeping with the parents.

Claiming that he was blow drying his newborn’s hair, because we all know how a newborn hair needs that, he gave her second degree burns on her face and leg.
What a monster.

Shawn Treadwell is the baby’s biological father and faces charges of first-degree child abuse, a 15-year-felony and second-degree child abuse, a four-year felony. He is also being charged as a habitual offender, fourth-degree.
The University of Michigan Hospital staff reported that an 8-week old was brought in on Saturday and treated for second-degree burns to the face and leg.

A family welcomed a known pedophile into their home after having a pen-pal relationship with him from prison and surprise! surprise! He molested their 4 year old son. Not once but many times.
Totally irresponsible of this family and totally irresponsible of the state to let him out of prison too.
When will we learn? Child molesters are always child molesters. You don’t give them your child on a silver platter! The state had no right to give him to the public to molest again and why in the world was he ABLE to do this? Shouldn’t his parole forbid this?
“They became quite close to the point where the family felt strong enough about him that they wanted to give him a chance,” Hanlon said. “They offered for him to come up and stay at their home in New Hampshire with their family.”
In 1999, fresh out of prison, Schillaci headed not for Oklahoma, where he was born, or his adoptive state of Texas, but instead to the New Hampshire town of Deerfield, where his pen-pal family lived.
He registered as a sex offender, and the family offered him a room in their home until he could get back on his feet. He stayed there while working part-time at a music store and taking classes at a nearby college.
Schillaci, an accomplished pianist, even gave the family’s 5-year-old son piano lessons.
One night at the dinner table, the boy told his parents he had a dark secret to share.
“One night, when we were at supper, and Schillaci wasn’t around, our son said, ‘I have a secret. I have a secret with Jon that I think I should tell you,’ ” the mother told America’s Most Wanted.
The boy told his parents that Schillaci, who wasn’t at home that night, had sexually assaulted him during piano lessons. Some of the assaults occurred in a bedroom in the family home.
“They (the family) had befriended him, had given him a great opportunity, and yet that friendship.

A woman who punished a 9 year old boy by making him sit in a bathtub while she poured boiling water on him, to the point where he will require physical therapy and skin grafts and a host of reconstructive surgery, also making the boy clean the kitchen after she burned him. The youngster said his feet were too blistered to clean, and then she threatened to beat him if he didn’t clean and finally took the poor child to the hospital after enduring 4 days of excruciating pain, will get only 6 months in jail and will most likely get her child back.
Let it be known, that Shamia Lawson did these things. She lives in Baltimore.
Let is also be known, the Judge who thought the child abuse wasn’t a big deal and who most likely sees children as less valuable than a dog, and that their suffering is inconsequential, is Circuit Judge John M Glynn.
Perhaps, if it were his own child, this may have turned out differently. Nobody will ever know why the Judge decided that this child’s torture doesn’t matter and why his sympathy lies with a brutal child abuser. Perhaps he identified with her sadistic enjoyment of torturing the innocent child.
Everyone ought to be ashamed that this Judge is part of the system that is supposed to hand down punishments to those that hurt people. Everyone ought to be ashamed who elected this Judge and most of all, this Judge ought to be ashamed of himself.
At yesterday’s sentencing hearing, Drake repeated some of the saddest details.
She said Lawson “forced [the boy] into a tub of water and poured five pots of boiling water into the tub. … She pushed him into the water and threatened to beat him with a belt if he got out.”
When the boy emerged, Lawson ordered him to clean the kitchen, but he said his blistered feet hurt too much. “So what?” was her response, Drake said.
Four days later, Lawson took the badly injured child to Howard County General Hospital and gave fake names. She “told different and convoluted lies” to hospital workers and to police, said Drake, who called Lawson “a talented liar.”

WARNING! The abuse described below is extremely graphic and highly disturbing…The staff at Minor Topics is rendered speechless by this senseless act of violence and abuse against a baby.
When donation information becomes available, we will be posting it promptly.
The toddler’s injuries weren’t consistent with how the couple said the girl hurt herself, said Jaroscak, who called the case among the “most devastating” he’s seen.
Charging documents state that doctors at Primary Children’s Medical Center - where the toddler was sent because of her extensive injuries - examined the girl and found chemical burns on the toddler’s face, hands and eyes. The burns on the girl’s eyes caused severe corneal damage that could result in her losing her vision, according to the documents.
The girl also suffered hemorrhages in both eyes and at least 50 cuts on her hands. Doctors discovered seven broken bones in her left hand and five in her right, which they believe were caused by “violent squeezing or blows directly to the hands,” the documents state.
Patches of her hair were missing as were two teeth, injuries which doctors’ said were consistent with blunt force trauma.
Roberts told detectives that she and Crispin, her live-in boyfriend, used a syringe to reduce swelling in the toddler’s hands on Monday.

You can’t make this stuff up.
If this is true, I hope this boy finds a home with parents who love him. It’s not too late for him to find peace.
A daycare employee is also being charged by failing to report observed burns all over the boys body.
AIRMONT, N.Y. — Police arrested a woman Friday after her 7-year-old son told authorities she burned him in an oven, and a day-care worker was arrested for not reporting the attack, authorities said.
The mother, 26-year-old Tiffany Fraser of Tallman, was charged with assault and endangering a child, authorities said.
Police began investigating after the boy was spotted alone at a shopping center and told officers he had run away because “his mother had put him in an oven and burned him as a punishment,” according to police reports.

This is such a difficult case. In one respect, you can understand how a child, after suffering years and years of emotional and physical abuse, could be pushed over the edge and lose it. However, we do have laws and killing your abuser is still against the law, although understandable.
Poor kid. I can’t imagine prison will inspire or nuture him to be in the real world when he gets out after 10 years. They’ll probably create a monster instead of creating a productive human being.
Prosecutors agreed to dismiss a charge of murder last November and, instead, let the youth plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter after they reviewed psychiatric reports and other evidence that Bruner had subjected his son to severe emotional abuse.
“I’m happy with the deal they got for Ryan,” Buller said outside Judge Ray Cunningham’s San Jose courtroom Thursday morning. “I’m hoping that all of us can get on with rebuilding our lives - including Ryan.”
When police arrested the pale, slightly built teenager a few days after the slaying, it looked like a case of cold-blooded murder. Investigators said the boy shot his 50-year-old father, set fire to their house on Bucher Street and then walked to a nearby Taco Bell for something to eat.
But the picture changed after the teenager told his mother he had snapped because he could no longer endure his father’s bullying and verbal abuse.

A 17 month old boy who had cooking oil, heated in a frying pan, poured on his genitals as well as beaten to the point of sustaining spinal injuries is recovering, but the extent of his injuries and whether or not he’ll be able to walk again have not yet been reported.
Perhaps the boyfriend and the mother don’t know what it feels like to be punched in the stomach by someone 15X bigger than you and have frying grease poured on their genitals and a hair-dryer used to burn off their skin, so I recommend that they find out. If it’s good enough for their baby, surely it’s good enough for them.
We are failing in protecting our most vulnerable. I don’t know what can be done, if anything, but it seems like this happens far, far too often. Once is too much.
And of course! — It happened in Florida. Surprise. Surprise.
The mother of an Apopka toddler severely burned and beaten was arrested today on one count of child neglect, police said.
Marlita S. Stokes, 23, was at work when her boyfriend Darlanne Toussaint, 24, used his fist to smash the 17-month-old’s chest and back, and a blow dryer to burn the child’s skin. The boy who suffered second-degree burns on his genitals, back, chest and head, is in stable condition at Florida Hospital Orlando this morning.
Toussaint was baby-sitting girlfriend Marlita Stokes’ two children at the couple’s home in the 1900 block of Nicole Lee Circle when the incident occurred Thursday morning, police said. The other child was not hurt.

A mother left behind 8 children to flee to Nigeria to marry a man she met online. When the children were found, some of them were near death…
Six children left home alone while their 33-year-old mom went to Nigeria to marry a man she met on the Internet are expected to remain in foster care until a Jan. 16 custody hearing, authorities said Friday.
Eight children — including a 3- and 4-year-old who the family watched for a working single father — were found at a roach-infested home Wednesday night with no food, money or toilet paper. The youngest, a 1-year-old boy, was dehydrated, malnourished and lost consciousness as he was being treated by emergency workers, officials said.
