Student shot in parking lot

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have arrested the teen they believe shot a student in the shoulder at a north Charlotte school early Wednesday.
The shooting happened after an argument in the parking lot of Crossroads Charter High School, near the intersection of North Tryon Street and Old Concord Road, around 10 a.m. The 18-year-old victim, whose name has not been released, was taken in emergency traffic to Carolinas Medical Center. He is expected to undergo surgery this afternoon.
