Posted February 17th, 2008 by minortopics | via www.myfoxatlanta.com

A Georgia man who is a convicted child molester took his 4 year old daughter without permission as he does not have custody of the little girl.

Minor Topics is thinking this might not turn out well. The child molester is wanted for bond violation. There is nothing good that happen with him having unfettered access to a small child. I can only imagine the kind of abuse he will likely inflict upon her.

She needs to be found.

Posted January 16th, 2008 by minortopics | via www.foxnews.com

A 5-year-old girl went missing when she went to a local store to buy crisps.

What makes this all the more eerie, the place of her disappearance was just 2 hours outside the Praia da Luz resort where Madeleine McCann went missing.

Could there be a link??

A 5-year-old girl disappeared in an area searched as part of the hunt for Madeleine McCann.

The family of Spanish Mari Luz Cortes fear she has been snatched.

Her father, Juan Jose, broke down in tears and said: “Whoever has her, bring her back and everything will be okay.”

The area in Huelva, Spain, which borders Portugal, has been searched by 100 police officers and 500 volunteers.

Search teams are also hunting on the Portuguese side of the border.

Mari Luz went out to buy a packet of crisps from a local shop on Sunday afternoon.

She was last seen by the shopkeeper at around 5pm.

Detectives claim they know where Madeleine McCann is…

Posted December 13th, 2007 by minortopics | via www.dailymail.co.uk

…and that she’ll be home by Christmas.

If this is true, doesn’t this seem incredibly irresponsible to go public with this information? If it is true, and it seems unlikely, wouldn’t the claim drive the kidnappers further underground or try to get rid of the evidence, namely Madeleine.

It just keeps getting stranger and stranger…

The private investigator hired by Kate and Gerry McCann to find their daughter said today he knows who took Madeleine and is close to reuniting her with her parents.

Francisco Marco said the missing four-year-old has been kidnapped by a paedophile ring and is being held in north Africa or the Iberian Peninsula.

In his boldest claim yet, the director general of Metodo 3 also said he hoped the McCanns will have their daughter back by Christmas.

Preschooler makes up tale of abduction

Posted November 22nd, 2007 by minortopics | via www.latimes.com

Okay, for a 4 year old to even wrap her mind around such a lie, makes you question her mental health and what could be going on in her home. I can understand have a vivid imagination, but to think of something so sinister, it’s just bizarre.

Youngster invented a detailed story about a spiky-haired man, based on a TV show, because she was angry with her mother, police report.

When authorities were told a 4-year-old girl had reported that a man tried to kidnap her from a playground, they dispatched eight squad cars, a helicopter and a dozen deputies to track down the perpetrator.

For four hours Tuesday, they canvassed the girl’s Midway City neighborhood, an unincorporated area in the middle of Orange County. Officers closed the playground where the girl said the man had tried to snatch her and investigators searched the neighborhood for the person the child had described — a spiky-haired man with a dragon tattoo.

Girl wards off abduction by fighting back

Posted November 20th, 2007 by minortopics | via www.cbs46.com

I think these tactics, which may have saved this girl’s life, should be part of our education curriculum. Gone are the days where we can bury our heads in the sand and not think about it…

TUCKER, Ga. — Quick thinking by a DeKalb County teenager may have saved her life, police said Monday.

Two men tried to kidnap the girl near Tucker Middle School Monday night, police said.

The 14-year-old was on her way home from dance practice when a black van pulled up, and the men tried to grab her, Police said, adding that the girl got away when she stabbed one of the men in the arm with a pencil. The girl was not seriously hurt, police said.

Posted November 15th, 2007 by minortopics | via www.edmontonsun.com

These stories of child abductions send shivers up my spine. It’s such a horrible thing to think about, but at least this little boy was found - so many aren’t so lucky. His mother must be kissing his little head over and over and over…
