Infant reportedly killed by rat

Posted July 18th, 2009 by minortopics | via www.wdsu.com

A four month old infant, Natalie Hill, was found dead in her crib, covered in rat bites. Police say they don’t know whether or not the baby died before the rats got to her or because of the rats, which would make sense — I mean, wouldn’t the parents hear the poor baby if she was being eaten alive by rats??

Disgusting!

WESTWEGO, La. — The father of the 3-month-old girl who was found dead Thursday, covered in rat bites, said in a radio interview that he knew his house had a rat problem, but he never expected his daughter would be attacked.

Posted July 2nd, 2009 by minortopics | via www.huliq.com

A 2-year-old girl in Florida was killed after the Burmese Python her family kept as a pet got hold of the child and bit and strangled her.

The dangers of owning an exotic pet became all too real for one mother today as her boyfriend’s pet snake kills her baby girl. Sumter County Sheriff’s authorities confirm that a 8 1/2 foot-long Burmese python snake killed the mother’s 2-year-old girl after the snake escaped from its container and attacked the baby in her room.

Two-year-old baby Shaiunna Hare was pronounced dead on Wednesday morning after Sumter County Sherriff’s Office received an emergency call that a snake killed a baby.

The owner of the Burmese python snake is Charles Jason Darnell. Darnell, 32, who lives in the home with the baby’s mother, Jaren Hare, 19, reportedly told investigators that he put the python in a bag before putting it into a glass cage Tuesday night.

Utter heartbreak. A 7 year old was accidentlly buried alive when his father was bulldozing and was unaware the boy was playing on the dirt mound where he was preparing to build a home. The boy died.

The father could not see the boys over the bulldozer’s blade, which was about 4 feet high, and moved a load of dirt that initially covered all three boys.

The two older boys were able to dig themselves out and alert the father that the 7-year-old was still buried, the relative said.

Caylee Anthony autopsy report

Posted June 19th, 2009 by minortopics | via www.foxnews.com

The Caylee Anthony autopsy report has finally been released to the public in spite of the Anthony Grandparents, George and Cindy, trying to block it’s release. Although more “dissection” of the report will likely come out, preliminary overviews by the media show that the body was almost completely skeletonized. No drugs were found in little Caylee’s system according to the report and a cause of death was not determined. Duct tape was reported to be placed over the child’s mouth however:

There were also several overlapping pieces of duct tape on the toddler’s skull, according to the report, penned by Orange County Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia and others.

“Although there is no trauma evident on the skeleton, there is duct tape over the lower facial region still attached to head hair,” the autopsy says. “This duct tape was clearly placed prior to decomposition keeping the mandible in place.”

Two boys, ages 11 and 9, were wrestling over a gun after an argument broke out over a video game and who won. The 9 year old was shot in the chest and died.

The gun was apparently too heavy for the 11 year old to hold to his brother’s chest, so it’s being ruled an accident.

An 11-year-old boy has accidentally killed his nine-year-old brother with a shotgun after an argument about a computer game.

Daycare fire in Mexico; 38 children dead so far

Posted June 7th, 2009 by minortopics | via www.cnn.com

In a tragedy of monumental proportions — an unknown cause is still being investigated in a northern Mexican daycare where a fire has already killed up to 38 children. Children are being flown to California for medical care.

…but why can’t Mexico treat them? What’s up with that? Is our universal healthcare set to cover Mexico as well?

The cause of Friday’s blaze remained unknown, but investigators concluded that the fire did not start inside the ABC Day Care, Eduardo Bours, the governor of Sonora state said.

As of Saturday night, 23 children remained hospitalized, 15 of them in critical condition, Sonora spokesman Daniel Duran told CNN. Another 10 children had been transported to other hospitals: eight to Guadalajara, one to Ciudad Obregon, and one to Sacramento, California.

Man shoots his 2 young children and self

Posted May 31st, 2009 by minortopics | via www.foxnews.com

A father took his two young children, ages 7 and 6 on a “hiking trip” and shot them by rapid fire, killing both and then turning the gun on himself because he was sad.

Our country REALLY needs to stop coddling these jerk parents who are “depressed”. This excuse needs to stop. These child murderers are nothing more than selfish people that want to take the helpless who cannot protect themselves along with them because they see it as unfair that their own personal lives suck, so they want to make sure everyone else is miserable too.

What a coward. What a weak, small, ugly human being. Rot in hell James Gumm.

HILLSBORO, Ore. — A 45-year-old father found dead with his two children along a hiking trail is believed to have shot them before killing himself, police said.

The body of James Gumm, 45, of Hillsboro was found at a nature preserve Friday along with that of 7-year-old Tyler Gumm and 6-year-old Kylie Gumm.

Mother throws children over bridge; one survives

Posted May 25th, 2009 by minortopics | via www.news.com.au

Such a tragedy. We’ve heard too many times about fathers who have thrown their own children over bridges to their horrible, painful death, this time — the mother is the perpetrator. While her 4 year old drowned, her 7 year old survived and of course the mother saved herself. She threatened to jump over, but surprise, surprise, she saved herself. What a shock!

A SEVEN-year-old girl who survived a 23m bridge fall is improving in hospital.

Her four-year-old brother drowned after their mother allegedly threw both off the bridge into the Willamette River near Portland in Oregon.

Amanda Jo Stott-Smith, 31, charged with murder and attempted murder, had a history of domestic violence, police said yesterday.
