Jessica Simpson gave birth to her second child on Sunday, during a planned cesarean section in Los Angeles, the fashion mogul and singer announced.
This is the second child for Simpson and her fiance, Eric Johnson, a former NFL 49ers and Saints football player.
Simpson, 33, and Johnson, 33, also a one-year-old daughter together, Maxwell.
The couple named their son Ace Knute Johnson. Ace’s middle name is in honor of Johnson’s Swedish grandfather. Simpson made the announcement she was having a boy last in March on the “Jimmy Kimmel Show”.
Simpson, who signed a multi-million dollar contract with Weight Watchers last year said she was going to try to keep her weight under control this time around. Simpson signed with the weight loss company after she spoke candidly about her struggles with weight gain during her first pregnancy. Jessica reportedly gained 60 lbs. during her first pregnancy.
Weight Watchers recently announced that they will keeping Simpson as a spokesperson, promoting healthy weight gain during her pregnancy and healthy weight loss after.
