Kenneth Rowe Jr., 26, arrested after allegedly abandoning infant son at strip club. Mug shot via Chitwood Police.
A Daytona Beach, Fla. man was arrested on New Years eve after he forgot he forgot his 2-month-old infant at a strip club he was patronizing.
Kenneth Rowe, Jr., 26, was arrested after he left the infant in the arms of a store clerk whom he asked to hold the baby while he went outside to smoke a cigarette. When Rowe failed to return, the Shark Lounge business owner called the Chitwood Police. The clerk said she agreed to hold the baby because she didn’t want the baby to be outside in the cold.
Rowe did eventually return for the baby before police arrived, taking the infant from the clerk and allegedly stumbling off, weaving in and out of traffic on foot, according to Fox 6 WBRC. Rowe finally stopped and laid down, but hid upon hearing police. Police heard the infant crying and arrested Rowe.
According to WSVN, police reported that Rowe and the baby’s mother are transients and were staying at an area motel. The infant was reportedly unharmed and given back to his mother.
