Myriah Moreland, 20, of Montesano, Washington, was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing her six-month-old son and sharing images and videos of it on the Internet.

Moreland has been accused of sharing child pornography with Christopher Dupea, also 20, over social networking sites and through text messages.

According to investigators, the pair initially began exchanging sexually explicit photos over the social networking site Skout.

A statement released by the Washington State Patrol’s Missing and Exploited Children’s Task Force said that Moreland said in conversation with Dupea that she had engaged in sexual acts with her baby.

“There were both images and videos that quite  frankly are disturbing, to say the least. Even some of our most tenured and  seasoned detectives hadn’t seen images like those ever,” Lt. Ron Mead of the Investigative Assistance Division said.

“I’m not going to go into the details because they are pretty revolting, to be  quite honest. But suffice it to say, the photos depict activities that are  reprehensible and are beyond belief,” Lt. Mead told the Daily News.

Lt. Mead said that they launched an investigation into the production and distribution of child pornography after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received an online tip on Monday from Skout’s site monitors.

Along with the images Moreland sent of her son, Skout also tracked that Dupea sent five additional images involving young girls in sexually explicit situations.

According to police, Moreland told them that she and Dupea discussed how they would involve her baby “in sex acts.”
When Moreland was arrested she admitted to police that she and Dupea had the online conversations and also that she sent Dupea an image of her son’s genitals “to assist in diagnosing a rash.”

The task force officials said that they have reason to believe that Dupea, of Spanaway, victimized more children.  They are looking for any leads from any adults or children that have been in contact with him.

“Because of media reports about the arrest we got a call from someone in Arizona who’d had online contact with Mr. Dupea,” Lt. Mead said. “That and other information leads us to believe there may be additional victims.”

Moreland, who had been living with her mother and two underage brothers, was arrested and booked at Grays Harbor County Jail. She is facing charges of possession and distribution of child pornography, and sexual exploitation of a minor. Her bail is set at $20,000.

Dupea is being held at Pierce County Jail and is facing charges for possession and distribution of child pornography.  At this time no bail has been set.

Moreland’s baby was placed in the care of Child Protective Services.

Police are urging anyone with any information about possible additional victims to call (360) 507-6300.
