An 11-year-old boy is recovering after being physically assaulted while riding a go-cart in a residential neighborhood in Spring, Texas last week. The boy told police that a stranger flagged him down and when he stopped to find out what the stranger wanted, a man proceeded to forcibly hold him down while he kissed the boy on both cheeks and then bit him hard on both cheeks. The boy was able to get away and run home where he told his mother of the incident.
Harris County police reported that they observed bite marks on the boy’s cheeks as well as bruises.
The suspect was apprehended after the child victim was taken to the police station to identify the perpetrator in a photo lineup. The boy pointed out who police believed to be the assailant, Abdus Sattar, 70.
According to ABC News, the man has been charged with injury to a child with bail set at $5,000.
