Woman from U.K. surprised when pin pops through her pregnant belly.
Kelly Donegan, 26, of Bletchley, Buckinhamshire, U.K. said she was shocked when she discovered the ache she had been feeling on the left side of her pregnant stomach was an old surgical pin which had exposed itself through the skin. Donegan is about seven and a half months pregnant. Although the pin is reportedly only inches away from her unborn baby, doctors say they can’t remove it until Donegan gives birth but claim the unborn baby is not in any danger.
Donegan believes the pin was pushed through her skin as her belly expanded, causing pressure to build up and force the pin through her skin. She told metro.co.uk, “It must have been inside me since 2009, when I had my appendix removed.”
Doctors had to cut the pin down to prevent it from being caught on clothes are cutting her. After the baby is born, doctors say they will use general anesthesia to remove the pin.
