At 10:30pm on Tuesday night, 4-year-old twins Luke and Mark Nguyen were found dead in their grandmother’s backyard in-ground swimming pool. Police in Arlington, Texas are now investigating.
Ambulances were sent to the home on the 3200 block of Hunter Cove Drive, and took the boys — who were still alive but unconscious — to the Medical Center of Arlington where they were pronounced dead. The boys were found floating in the pool by their father. They were checking in on their diabetic grandmother from their home in Grand Prairie. They had only been at the home for 10 minutes when the father noticed the boys were missing and found them in the pool soon after. The boy’s mother, Huong Nguyen, and their father are said to be distraught. The couple also have a one-year-old.
Police say there was a gate around the pool, but did not say whether or not it was shut at the time of the accident.
