Barbara Lafleur of Saratoga Spring, NY, went on a nude stroll through two stores on Tuesday before she was picked up by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.

The 49-year-old woman’s first stop was Curtis Lumber.  Bob Eakin, the store’s manager who was not working at the time of the incident, said the woman asked a few employees what time it was and told one to “have a good day” before she left.

“No one wanted to say much to her,” Eakin told the Times Union. “It’s not a situation you want to  be involved in.”

Minutes after leaving the lumber yard, the woman headed over to Stewart’s Shop on East Line Road.

“The manager said ‘Ma’am, are you aware you have no clothes on?’ She was kosher  and cool about it, and the manager told her she needed to leave,” a Stewart’s  employee named Terry told the Times Union.

The woman was charged with charged with public lewdness, a misdemeanor, and she could face up to 90 days in jail if convicted.

“While the defendant claimed she was merely expressing her freedom to be fully liberated by walking nude into Stewart’s and Curtis Lumber, this alleged conduct  is actually a crime under the penal law,” Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy said in a statement obtained by the Times Union.  “Surprisingly, mental health found no psychiatric issues whatsoever.”
