Jessica Simpson finally gave birth today to a baby girl weighing 9 lbs. 13 oz. and a whopping 21 3/4 inches long.
They say first babies tends to be smaller and if this is any indication, let’s hope for Simpson’s sake that turns out to be false. The baby was named what media leaks already revealed, Maxwell Drew Johnson. She was delivered in Los Angeles, California sometime this morning.
Simpson posted a baby announcement on her website this morning saying, “We are so grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!!” Simpson also tweeted, “BABY NEWS!!!,” just minutes ago.
This came nine days after Simpson tweeted, “To everyone who keeps congratulating me on the birth of my baby girl…I’m still pregnant!! Don’t believe what you read ladies and gents.”
The fashion mogul has been mysteriously absent from the Twitter-sphere for the last three days. Now we know why.
Above the baby announcement on her website is an offer for free shipping on Jessica Simpson merchandise for orders over $75. Hey, the baby’s got to have her collection of silver spoons and handbags to call her own. That stuff’s expensive.
