The driver of the car, 17-year-old Weston Massett, flipped his Mustang, and when he opened his eyes, the young man told TMZ, Dempsey was staring down at him. The actor had rushed from his home, crowbar in hand, ready to pry open the car doors.
“Are you famous?” asked Massett.
“I’m a doctor,” Dempsey smoothly replied.
Not only did the actor pull the boy from the flipped vehicle, he called Massett’s mother and kept her calm while the authorities arrived. Dempsey then followed the ambulance to the hospital to make sure the boy was going to be okay.
Thankfully, Massett only suffered a concussion and a stretched optic nerve. The car passenger, Dylan Miller, was unharmed.
