Kim Zolciak pregnant with fourth child

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak has come a long way since the show debuted in 2008. Once known for her status as a hard drinking and heavy smoking mistress of a rich businessman known only as “Big Poppa,” Zolciak enjoyed the lavish gifts from her boyfriend and raising her daughters in the limelight of the show.

After breaking things off with Big Poppa, however, Zolciak met Biermann at a charity event in June 2010. She admired him shaking his butt on the dance floor, and the rest, as they say, is history. Within four months, she was pregnant, and the following June, Kroy Junior, or KJ, was born. In October of 2011, Biermann asked her father for her hand in marriage. He gladly gave it, and Biermann presented Zolciak with a ring. The whole series of events was chronicled on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Life & Style Magazine, to which Biermann and Zolciak gave exclusive rights.

What everyone didn’t know, however, was that Biermann and Zolciak were busy on another project: a fourth child to add to their brood. Zolciak has two daughters, Brielle, 15, and Ariana, 9, from a previous marriage, so KJ is very far apart from them in age. Radaronline reported Zolciak wanted another baby to be close to KJ in age.

“With KJ it was an ‘oops’ kind of thing,” said Kim in the Life & Style interview. “But this time was totally planned. We wanted to get through the wedding, but as soon as we got married it was game on. We got pregnant the month after!”

While Kim and Kroy told Life & Style they didn’t yet know the sex of the baby, Radaronline posted a story March 20 that revealed the sex of the baby as male. Radaronline quoted their source as coming from Star.

“They’re so excited because Kim already had two girls and now that she’s having a second son, the family will be balanced out with two of each,” a close friend said to Star.

The couple, who are featured on their own upcoming spin-off miniseries, Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding, were able to keep the pregnancy secret for a few months before they announced it when Kim was roughly four months along. People magazine said that Zolciak tweeted out thanks to her daughters for helping them keep the secret for as long as they did.
