Lisa Robin Kelly, aka Laurie Forman on ‘That ’70′s Show,’ was arrested in Los Angeles on Saturday on charges of corporal injury to a spouse. She was released from jail later that day on $50,000 bail.
In an interview with TMZ, Lisa contends that she was wrongfully arrested and never touched the alleged victim, her roommate John Michas. She claims that he actually had attacked her on the Friday before the incident, but she neglected to file charges.
According to Kelly, her roommate turned things around and reported to the police that she had injured him.
Kelly told TMZ that she did not harm him. She further stated, “I am clean and sober and I have made a lot of progress. I am completely innocent. I weigh 105 pounds. I could never hurt him. I just want to start working again.”
The Christian Post reports that Kelly also posted reaction to the incident on Facebook. She wrote, “I did nothing to hurt John Michas. I cared. I made a big mistake to move with someone I didnt know well and its all a big mess. I was simply trying to move on.”
The two were at odds after he refused to pay rent, Kelly claims.
Kelly, 42, once portrayed Eric Foreman’s (Topher Grace) sexy sister in the popular sitcom. Today, she seems to not get a break from the law. She was previously arrested in 2010 for DUI.
Despite Kelly’s smile, her most recent mug shot does show that she has been going through a lot.
