This season’s Bachelor, Ben Flajnik, was well known to fans of the franchise, as he had his heart broken after proposing to former Bachelorette Ashley Hebert and faced the ultimate rejection when she chose his competitor J.P. Rosenbaum. Flajnik came back with a bang this season, looking for love in the many beautiful women who were vying for his attention.
The two finalists, Lindzi Cox and Courtney Robertson, stood out from the beginning. Lindzi arrived on horseback and charmed Flajnik with her sweet smile and positive attitude. Courtney, however, stood out for an entirely different reason. Her nasty attitude and snarky comments had the other girls on edge the entire season. One contestant, Emily, even tried to warn Ben on several occasions that Courtney was not the sweet and innocent person she pretended to be around Ben, but rather a two-faced liar. Ultimately, Emily was eliminated from the competition because Ben felt she didn’t focus enough on their relationship, instead focusing her attention on the problems with Courtney.
With the finale set to air tomorrow, although it was taped months ago, Ben will pick a winner, and everyone seems to know he has picked Courtney. Life & Style reports that the couple’s relationship has already deteriorated because, although Ben believed Courtney to be a good person, after the show aired, he saw otherwise. The weekly mag says weeks before The Bachelor’s Women Tell All special, Courtney returned the ring Ben gave her, which was a $65,000, 4-carat, Neil Lane design.
During the special, Robertson was contrite… and quiet. She did little but apologize and say she wanted nothing but to make Ben happy, even as the women sat and hurled accusations at her. The ones she insulted the most repeatedly asked why, and Robertson was unable to give them an answer, simply saying over and over again that she was sorry, she would do anything she could to change her actions. She said if she could see ahead to the future to view the damage her actions had caused, she would have changed them.
Recent events would support Life & Style’s reports. The March 12 issue of Us Weekly reported that as soon as the show started airing, Ben turned his attention to other women. In his own hometown of San Francisco, says Us, he frequents Monaghan’s, a pub known for wild parties, and has frequently been seen leaving with other women.
In Touch reported that Ben began his bad behavior before he even proposed to Courtney. Asking all three finalists back to the fantasy suite, the mag says he slept with all three women. The mag even reported in February that Courtney was pregnant with Ben’s baby from the hookup in the fantasy suite. A pal of Flajnik’s told Wetpaint Entertainment that those rumors were false and quickly quashed the pregnancy talk.
In the days leading up to the finale, both Robertson and Flajnik have remained quiet. Robertson has been spotted trying on wedding dresses in Beverly Hills and wearing a mysterious ring. The Bachelor finale will air on ABC at 8 p.m. March 12.
