What do you get a teen pop idol for his 18th birthday?

In the case of Justin Bieber you get a very rare sports car worth $100,000.

As part of the his birthday appearance on “The Ellen Degeneres Show” today, Bieber’s manager Scott Braun presented him with a Fisker Karma, a fuel-efficient hybrid also driven by the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Al Gore. Usher, who gave the gift along with Braun, said he wanted the “Baby” singer to “stand out on the road.”

“That’s for me?! That’s crazy!” Bieber replied with jubilation.

The teen idol’s celebration didn’t begin there. According to TMZ, Bieber went parachuting in the afternoon, followed by a fancy dinner and party. The singer is also looking to treat himself with some new ultra-expensive real estate in L.A.

“I feel so much different,” J.B. joked with Ryan Seacrest this morning on KIIS-FM. “I’m just kidding man. It’s been crazy, man… Just the amount of people that have hit me up and giving me birthday wishes.”

Now that the Biebs is officially “legal” he can buy his own cigarettes, dirty magazines and lottery tickets, serve in his native Canadian military, and vote for his nation’s next prime minister.

In an MTV video of celebrity well-wishes, Usher told the young singer “18 comes with a lot of responsibility, but it comes with absolutely no responsibility at the same time.”

The real question for his legion of fans is whether or not the precious teen star can make the transition into being a grown-up pop star. He already has two multi-platinum albums and seven top 20 singles.

In the middle of his big day, Bieber announced his next single, “Boyfriend,” will come out March 26.
