HBO releases ‘Game Change’ trailer

Game Change, HBO’s new docudrama based on the book of the same name, takes a look at the addition of then-Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin to Sen. John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, detailing the rise and fall of the self-appointed “Mama Grizzly.”

While the book also dealt with the drama happening on the Democratic side between Barack Obama and the Clintons, the film focuses only on the Republican side of the ticket. Understandably, since Sarah Palin’s arrival on the national political scene was — love her or hate her — the most talked about Vice President pick since, well, maybe ever.

Julienne Moore takes on the role of Palin, putting her method acting chops to work doing an amazing job portraying Caribou Barbie — if you weren’t paying close attention when first viewing the trailer you might think it was documentary footage. Ed Harris stars as John McCain, and Jay Roach of Austin Powers fame directs.
