Caleb Pacheco: 3-year-old’s skeleton found underneath mother’s trailer

An aunt is mourning the loss of the toddler nephew she once had custody of. Caleb Pacheco once lived happy and health with his aunt, Yolanda Kinzie-Graber, because the boys mother, Juanita Kinzie, 24, had an elicit drug problem and reportedly couldn’t hold a job. Eventually, the Denver, CO mother came back for her child and Yolanda went into panic-mode over the boy’s safety. She says despite her concerns, social services made her hand the child over to Juanita Kinzie.

Yolanda says that she hasn’t seen the toddler in a year. She reports that her sister, Juanita, moved around was hostile to visitations with her sister and the boy. She believes it’s because Caleb would get very upset and want to stay with his aunt when her saw her. She also claims she heard rumors that her sister was ‘strung out’ and barely able to take care of herself, let alone a toddler. When Yolanda would ask about Caleb, nobody knew where he was.

Yolanda finally tracked down Juanita’s boyfriend who was in jail. He told her where they lived. She also found out that her sister was pregnant and recently gave birth to a baby girl. When Yolanda inquired to the authorities about the boy’s whereabouts, neither social services or hospital staff had any idea who or where the boy was.

Enlisting the help of the police, the mother’s trailer was finally searched where a grisly discovery was made. The boy’s remains were found underneath the modular home. The body was in such a state of decomposition that authorities could not immediately determine how long the boy had been dead.

Even after Yolanda told social services of Juanita’s drug abuse, they still refused to take custody of the newborn away from her. That only changed when Juanita was apprehended on murder charges.
