Police have arrested third grade teacher Kimberly Crain because she allegedly took photos and video of some of her students dancing around in christmas bras and panties.
Home of third grade teacher Kimberly Crain. The elementary school teacher has been charged with child pornography after a pizza party held at her home involving Christmas-themed bras and panties with 'Ho-ho' on them. Screenshots via YouTube.
The arrest came after police were able to recover photos taken from her cell phone. Prior to the arrest Crain had submitted her resignation to the McLoud School District. “The allegations are very serious and very concerning,” Superintendent Doran Smith said before the arrest.
Court documents show that Crain used the cell phone to take photos of her students posing on desks and chairs. The students were also encouraged to talk to a man wearing glasses, referred to as “Uncle G”, via Skype numerous times a week.
Authorities say that Mrs. Crain hosted a pizza party at her home for some of her third grade students. The girls allege that their teacher made them go into a bedroom, one at a time, to change into holiday lingerie. The girls were then videotaped doing a “cheer dance” and decorating a Christmas tree.
KMRG.com is reporting that the FBI is also involved in the case, at the request of local police. Authorities have confiscated an IPad, a portable hard-drive, multiple laptops and a flash drive from Crain’s home. ”Currently we are examining the computers and the other digital media that may contain images of child pornography and try to review them and see if there’s any criminal charges to be filed.”
“We will assist Shawnee police in their investigation and determine if there are any violations that can be pursued in federal court,” FBI Agent Clayton Simmonds said. “Then we will work with prosecutors to see what venue is a better avenue to pursue charges if the allegations are true.”
Mrs. Crain had reportedly been with the district for over 5 years and at one point was named “Teacher of the Year”. Superintendent Smith told reporters, “The vibe of the parents is they liked her and she was doing a good job.”
“The things that these children were made to do can be explained in no other way than it was a sexual interest by Mrs. Crain,” say police. She is being held on $1 million dollars bond and is considered by prosecutors to be a flight risk.
