Police: California mom accused of molesting son’s hockey teammates

Kathia Davis, 44, of Orange County California has been arrested on suspicion of child molestation after a teenager told his mother that on of his team-mate’s mothers took advantage of him several years ago while attending a sleep-0ver at his friends house. Police say the victims were all team-mates of Davis’ son who played on a southern California ice hockey team called the Beach City Lightning. Currently police are unsure as to the exact number of victims because of the access Davis had to the boys who were all 15 years and younger.

Davis is divorced and lives with her 3 children. So far, two victims have come forward with one victim admitting to abuse which took place over the course 18 months. Based on victim interviews, police also believe that Davis may have encouraged the boys to drink liqueur. Davis reportedly had parties for the boys in her home and encourage some of the boys to stay over-night and that’s when the abuse would allegedly occur, according to Jim Amormino, Orange County Sheriff.

A neighbor did tell ABC News that she can’t believe this is something that Davis would do. She described the woman as a good mother and that nothing suspicious was ever noticed by her.
