Ebony Mason of Chicago is accused of forcing a 16-year-old girl to have sex with strangers for money.
The 27 year old woman was arrested on Friday and charged with involuntary sexual servitude of a minor and human trafficking for forced labor. Cook County Judge Jackie Portman set her bail at $250,000.
According to prosecutors, Mason picked up the girl at her Chicago home last week and drove her to a hotel in the 6000 block of North Lincoln Avenue, where she took pictures of the girl in lingerie and posted them in an ad.
Assistant Cook State’s Attorney William Hall said, “They began receiving customers, who paid cash in exchange for sex acts with the minor.”
The Chicago Police Department’s human trafficking task force answered an ad on a website known for prostitution ads. The court records indicate that an undercover officer in the sting offered to pay $200 for sex with the girl. She told police she had engaged in sex acts with several men, but Mason kept all the money, Hall said.
Records show that the 16-year-old girl was taken to a Chicago hospital for medical treatment.
