The son of former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, Christopher Schwarzenegger (13), was hospitalized after a serious accident that occurred while surfing last weekend.
A source reported that the boy was slammed face-first into an object on the beach in Malibu, California. He was treated in the intensive care unit, then moved to another unit later. The hospital was not named by the source.
A statement released by the family included “On behalf of our entire family, we want to sincerely thank the paramedics and lifeguards who responded so swiftly as well as the doctors, nurses, emergency room and hospital staff who have cared for our son.”
Christopher’s older brother Patrick posted a Twitter message Friday morning to tell that Christopher is doing well in the hospital.
