LOS ANGELES (BNO NEWS) — Singers Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony on Friday announced that, after seven years of marriage, they have decided to divorce. The news was first reported by People.com.
In a joint statement, the couple gave no details about the reason for their divorce. “We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters,” the couple said, as reported by People.com.
“It is a painful time for all involved, and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time,” the couple added in their statement. They were married in June 2004 during a secret ceremony at Lopez’s Beverly Hills home.
Lopez, 41, and Anthony, 42, have two children, 3-year-old twins Max and Emme.
