Juror number 12, whose name has not been released, is reportedly fleeing her Florida home and hiding out of fear that her life may be in danger. Her husband was emotional as he told NBC News that she left and he’s not sure when or if she’ll come back. He also claimed that she had to leave her job because her co-workers have been so cruel and judgmental towards her. The husband of juror #12 also claims that the whole trial has torn his family apart. He explained the difficulty in having to be separated from his wife for 44 days and then to come home, after honoring her civic duty, she is now faced with threats and hatred. He also fears that the emotional drain will take a toll on his and his wife’s health.
Currently, all twelve jurors identities have remained secret except juror #3, Jennifer Ford, who voluntarily came forward with her identity so that she could tell her side of the story.
According to MSNBC, the MIA juror #12 has red hear, is her her 60′s and worked at Publix Grocery where she was set to retire in the fall, but called her employer to retire early, over the phone, for fear of a workplace backlash. Also known about juror #12 is that she moved to Florida from Michigan. Her husband says he is ready to flee as well, when and if her name is officially released.
He reported that his wife told him before she left, āIād rather go to jail than sit on a jury like this again.ā
