A school in Orange County Florida uses law enforcement to control kids

An 8 year old special education student at Riverside Elementary in Orlando has been arrested 5 times due to his teachers frequent calls to the police. According to WKMG Local 6 News in Orlando, police have indicated that the teachers responsible for filing police reports haven’t suffered any serious injuries, although one teacher in particular alleges that he’s been bitten and struck by the boy. The police report indicates that the bite left a mark about the size of a pencil eraser head on the teacher’s knee.

Parents at the school are wondering why the school is using the police department as a form of routine discipline. The child’s mother contends that he doesn’t have these behavior issues at home. The same teacher who keeps calling law enforcement also alleges that the boy chases other students around the classroom and threatens to kill them. The child has a court hearing today. He has been charged with battery.

You have got to be kidding me. This is totally irresponsible. The child needs help and proper education, not to be taking to courts and police stations. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. The child is being abused by the system that is unprepared to deal with.

In the state of Florida, Caucasian second graders, when exhibiting bad behavior, are counseled, consoled and receive time-outs. However, when African American second graders in the state of Florida exhibit bad behavior, they are arrested and incarcerated.

Let’s watch and see if the authorities now try to charge this second grader as an adult.

Some people here in Florida still have a problem with Brown vs. Board of Education.

Teachers who deal with special-ed and students who have behavior problems need to be aware of the difference in behavior, impulse control and brain damage and brain difference that these “little bastards” have. If the are unable, unwilling and lack the skills to handle them, then they should seek employment elsewhere. Teachers need to consult with psychologists and principals first before calling the police to determine if this is appropriate and if serious life-threatening acts are at issue. Schools that routinely contact the police need to be closed down and reopened under new management. This is America not a Taliban society, and statistics on which children are being arrested should be tracked for reference and info on patterns because this is how to determine race-based reactions by the adults. America already leads the world in number of people incarcerated by a factor of greater than 3 to 1. Ironically, Russia, a communist country, is far behind us in imprisoned persons, and they are in second place behind us. Something is wrong in this country. By the way, Samantha, Mike, and Michael, must have come out of the abusive special school system based on their response and their horrific spelling and syntax. The Justice System is currently investigating this new trend of school to jail. This is not financially nor socially healthy for any society, except for those who benefit from the building and maintenance and stock options involved in prison construction, the only private growth industry that is American-made, at least for now.
