this makes me sick. my sister owns a loving pit bull that likes everyone. why someone with a small child would own any dog that is aggressive really gets to me. not all pits are aggressive. but, if you know it’s mean. by golly get rid of it before you or your child end up dead. i feel for this baby.

Although I am sure they are devastated, a great deal of the blame for this tragedy falls on the parents. Of course there are instances when dogs (just like people) are mean to the core by birth, but in the majority of cases, the dog has been brought up, trained to be mean, aggressive, a guard dog, or neglected to the point that they have no other choice to behave this way. When they are brought up like this, dogs act more like wild animals than domesticated pets, and see small children as prey, not family members, and this will continue to happen until people stop training dogs to be this way. Unfortunately, this will add to pit bulls bad reps, which is not true, they are very sweet, affectionate, great family pets…..when they are not taught to be otherwise.
