Man puts girl in headlock and shoots her twice
In what appears to be an act of domestic violence, a man invited his estranged wife and her boyfriends daughter over to go swimming and then allegedly proceeded to put the 8 year old girl in a headlock and shoot her twice in the head. He then shot himself in the stomach but apparently survived.
The coroner’s office identified the girl as Heather Brooke Center of Woodruff.
Investigators said they weren’t sure of Blackwell’s motive.
“I don’t know where you can go in the mind to justify shooting a child,” said Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright. “I don’t understand how you can get so angry.”
The sheriff said Blackwell, 50, has a long criminal record. He was charged with murder and kidnapping. No one answered his phone Wednesday night.

The low life was so hurt because he not only lost his wife, but he was affraid of loseing his daughter as well.
But he did’t have to take the little girls young life.
He knew what he was going to do, the action to take. What happened between the parents was’t the childs fault.
Don’t know about the laws where this took place but he ought to serve a life sentance with no parole.
He took a life, and he should’t have one either.

F***ing loser. Why can’t people just get over things like being dumped? It wasn’t that f***ing serious he didn’t have to take a child’s life. He didn’t even try to kill himself because he shot himself in the stomach out of all places. Murdering loser.

I am a distant uncle of this little girl. Her Grand Mother was married to my brother and it pains me to know the tragedy that has come to this family. The D.A is going to file for the Death Penalty in this case. This low life had no business being out in the general public anyway. I am outraged at the value people put on human life and the disreguard they have for anyone elses lives. This looser is blaming everyone else for his own short comings as a human being as well as a man. He does not even deserv to be called a man. I am sure he will, just as the rest of them in jail that kill children, get his in the end. I only wish as her family does that I could line his veins with toilet cleaner.

Ugh! My goodness.
I am of sound mind and what I’ve read on MT thus far has made me so sad and disappointed. Yet the heavens still grant us beautiful, cuddly babies only to have their lives shortened by such demonic acts of unspeakable horror.
Maybe some electrical signals in their brains got so fried their only expressive outlet is to kill others.
Oh well, guess Blackwell is next in line for death by firing squad.
