Oprah school under the microscope again

Oprah’s school for girls in South Africa is being scrutinized again, a little over a year after accusations of abuse at the academy came out. This time, a number of girls have reportedly been expelled for “sexual impropriety.”

Lisa Halliday, a spokeswoman for the school, issued a statement which says, “Several students were expelled last week for violating the Leadership Academy’s code of conduct. We consider this to be a confidential school matter. Therefore, we will not confirm any personal information or disclose any details related to these expulsions.”

The report of sexual impropriety comes from the South African publication “Rapport.”
